Winter sports athletes feted

Elite athletes and coaches from Crawford County high schools were honored and recognized Monday evening.

Elite athletes and coaches from Crawford County high schools were honored and recognized for their performances and accomplishments during the 2013-2014 winter sports seasons on Monday evening.

The banquet and awards presentation took place at the Bucyrus Community Hospital cafeteria and was hosted by Q92.7 personnel and co-sponsored by Spreng Capital Management. The top boys and girls athletes in basketball, swimming, wrestling and cheerleading were selected as All-County All-Stars with coaches of the year also selected for boys and girls basketball, boys and girls swimming and wrestling.

Athletes received plaques with photos of themselves in action during this past season as well as a hooded sweatshirt with their name emblazoned on the back. Coaches of the year also received a plaque and will receive a photo to place in it of themselves and the all-county athletes in their sport.
