If you thought your leaky kitchen faucet was a pain, imagine how the Village of Crestline feels after a leak that lost almost 1 million gallons of water.
That leak in a water line on State Route 61 and Thrush Street understandably got a lot of discussion in council as City Administrator Marc Milliron explained. \
“We inquired a water line break this week. It involved an excess amount of almost a million gallons of water, definitely stirred up the town quite a bit with rust conditions,” Milliron said. “We have found the leak and it’s been properly taken care of and we should go on from here.”
Before going into executive session to discuss personnel issues and the purchase of property, Village Council also discussed a spring tar and chip project. The county now will not pay for half of the project, an estimated $16,000 to $20,000, through a Community Development Building Grant.
Council did take note that the third annual Community Care Walk is this Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. at the high school. Dr. Kuhn and the Chiropractic Clinic won the Scariest Business during the Scary Business Event.
