GALION — Officers from the Galion Police Department, along with METRICH Drug Task Force and deputies from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, arrested a man that was wanted on a misdemeanor arrest warrant for a probation violation out of the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office.
Officers converged on a residence at 130 S. Riblet St. in Galion and apprehended 30-year-old Scotty Patterson Jr. He was arrested on the outstanding warrant.
During the investigation, officers obtained information that led to the search warrant being issued at the South Riblet Street residence. During the search, officers seized suspected synthetic marijuana as well as drug paraphernalia.
Patterson was taken to the Crawford County Justice Center on the drug charges and is awaiting extradition to Ashland County on a bench warrant.
