HomeCare Matters Home Health and Hospice is holding a Volunteer Open House on February 11th, 2014 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm at HomeCare Matters Galion office,1220 N. Market Street. The Volunteer Open House is an opportunity for those thinking about volunteering or looking for a volunteering home to find out more about the different areas of giving they can achieve as a member of the HomeCare Matters team.

“Volunteers are vital to our organization,” stated Brandon Quail, HomeCare Matters Family Support Coordinator. “They are the ones who keep our wheels turning so the care we administer never falters. Many don’t realize our volunteering opportunities go way beyond the funnel cake stand. We are looking for people with big hearts to help us bake cookies, make scrapbooks, share therapy pets, and be pillars of hope for our patients by just visiting with them. Whatever your skill or area of interest, our agency definitely has a place for you.”

Since 1985, HomeCare Matters Volunteers have helped thousands of patients and their families during their most trying times of illness. The foundation of giving they have established has eased pain, uplifted spirits and allowed HomeCare Matter’s mission of providing the best care possible to everyone regardless of their payment ability to take root and flourish.

HomeCare Matters Volunteer Open House is free and open to the public. Refreshments and a small gift will be offered to all participants. For additional information, contact Brandon Quail at bquailhcm@gmail.com, call 1-800-4 Nurses or visit homecarematters.org.
