CRESTLINE — While some councils around the state are canceling in-person meetings and most are awaiting directives from the state during the pandemic, Crestline Village Council had its regular meeting Monday evening to attend to village business.
In his report to council, Crestline Village Administrator John Rostash said information regarding COVID-19 will be updated regularly on the village website.
“The page has links to the Ohio Department of Health, CDC, and Ohio’s Covid-19 call center hotline at 1-833-4-ASK-ODH (1-888-427-5634),” Rostash said.
He also encouraged residents to pay their utility bill online.
Also in his report, Rostash said Buckeye Excavating has made all the customer service connections onto the new waterline.
“Now they are connecting the 4-inch and 6-inch main waterlines on North Pearl Street, South Columbus Street, South Henry Street, and North Thoman Street. Expect two weeks of additional work then the trenches will be milled and paved,” Rostash said.
The construction zone remains from Wiley Street to Seltzer Street.
“Please drive with caution in this area,” Rostash said. “We will do our best to keep the community informed on our website, www.crestlineoh.com and our Facebook, page @CrestlineOhio.”
He said resumes are coming in for an open position for a water treatment plant manager/operator.
“In order to attract more candidates, we have submitted legislation to council to create the position of Water Treatment Plant Manager, Class II. Once approved, we will repost the available position,” Rostash said.
Council approved an amendment to the fee schedule portions of the Crestline Harvest Festival ordinance, permanent appropriations for 2020 for the village and an amendment to the employee compensation ordinance to add the position of water plant manager/operator.
The next council meeting is April 6 at 6:30 p.m.
