BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—A vehicle struck a house on Lincoln Highway in Bucyrus on March 16, 2025, prompting a swift response from local law enforcement and fire departments.

At approximately 4:59 p.m., the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting the incident at 2125 Lincoln Highway.

Deputies, along with emergency teams from the Bucyrus Township Volunteer Fire Department, Bucyrus City Fire Department, Dallas Township Volunteer Fire Department, and Holmes Township Volunteer Fire Department, quickly arrived at the scene.

Upon arrival, deputies found a 2021 Chevrolet parked dangerously close to the residence. The driver, identified as 71-year-old Paul Powers of Bucyrus, was unharmed. Authorities determined that Powers had been traveling eastbound on Lincoln Highway when he veered off the road and collided with the house.

Powers was arrested at the scene and transported to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, where he was issued a citation for Operating a Vehicle Impaired (OVI). He was later released.

Lohr’s Towing was called to remove the vehicle from the scene. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and further details will be provided as they become available.
