A vacant home on Maple Street caught fire in Bucyrus late Wednesday evening. No damage was evident looking on from the outside Thursday morning at the one-story home on 1007 Maple Street.
The Bucyrus Fire Department personnel indicated the computer system at the station was down and the report was not available.
A neighbor told Crawford County Now she looked out the window and noticed the house appeared to be on fire. That neighbor indicated the house, which does have a For Sale sign in the yard, had been taken back by the bank.
She also stated that she had been told the fire started in the house’s crawl space.
