UPPER SANDUSKY— On November 20, 2022, at 7:27 pm, the Upper Sandusky Police Department responded to Subway located at 444 West Wyandot Avenue for an armed robbery report.

A male subject entered the business, brandished a firearm, and demanded money. The suspect left the business with an undisclosed amount of money and traveled north.

Officers established a perimeter quickly, and tracking dogs were called in. The area was searched, but the suspect was not located. While investigating the incident, evidence shows a possible “getaway” vehicle circling nearby blocks.

At this time, this incident is under investigation, and it is believed the suspect has left the area eliminating a threat to the citizens residing in the area.

The Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office, Ohio State Highway Patrol, and Wyandot County Major Crimes Unit assisted the Upper Sandusky Police Department.
