WYANDOT COUNTY, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)— The Bucyrus Post is actively investigating a fatal crash that occurred on U.S. Route 23. Troopers suspect that a semi-tractor trailer, dump truck, or other heavy commercial vehicle was involved in the incident.
The crash, which resulted in significant damage to a Nissan, is believed to have been caused by a larger vehicle. The impact likely caused damage to the rear of the unknown vehicle, its trailer, or the Interstate Commerce Commission (ICC) bumper.
Following the crash, the unknown vehicle is suspected to have fled the scene, possibly heading northbound on U.S. Route 23. The crash remains under investigation as authorities work to identify the vehicle and its driver.
