Fundraiser benefits families in need during holiday season

BUCYRUS — This holiday season, the United Ways in Crawford, Marion, and Wyandot Counties invite their communities to join the #Give2 challenge.

A collaborative effort between the three organizations, the #Give2 challenge encourages individuals to make a donation to their local United Way equal to just two hours of their pay.

All funds from the #Give2 challenge directly benefit programs in each county that create opportunities for local families. The #Give2 challenge will run through the holidays and end on December 31st. Participating in the challenge is easy – simply text “GIVETWO” to 41444 for details.

United Way believes not only in funding local programs that improve the health, education, and financial stability of those in our communities, but in leveraging assets through collaborative efforts.

Amber Wertman, Executive Director of United Way of North Central Ohio serving Crawford, Marion, and Wyandot Counties stated, “Our area United Ways are on-the-ground in our communities, working with nonprofits, businesses, and government to lead collective impact that drives results.”
