United Way Campaign Kick-Off begins Sept. 2

United Way of Crawford County’s mission is to serve as a leader for long lasting, positive change in Crawford County by assessing needs, coordinating resources and investing in programs to improve lives. We invite you to be part of the positive change. You can give. You can advocate. You can volunteer. The 2014 United Way Campaign Kick-Off theme is “It’s Time to Live United”. Please join us at one or all of the following events September 2^nd through September 6^th!

Tuesday, September 2^nd
It is cookout time at Phil’s Deli, located at 814 Harding Way West in Galion. Phil’s will be cooking up hot dogs, Carle’s Bratwurst and Waldo Bologna for you to enjoy. You may also purchase chips and a drink to go with it. $1.00 from every cookout purchase will go towards the UWCC 2014 Campaign.

Wednesday, September 3^rd & Thursday, September 4^th
The Bucyrus Bob Evans will be hosting a “Dine to Make a Difference” community fundraiser for United Way of Crawford County from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM each day. Bob Evans, located at 1517 N. Sandusky Ave., will donate 15% of your sale to UWCC. Make sure to take a donation flyer with you and present it to your server! Don’t have your flyer yet? We can e-mail you one. Friday, September 5^th
Jane’s Hunger Paynes Family Restaurant in Crestline (819 E. Main St.) will donate a percentage of your meal back to United Way. Hunger Paynes is open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, so stop out for a meal (or a piece of pie!). Be sure to ask for a “Jane’s Gives Back” receipt to fill out for United Way of Crawford Co. Jane’s conducts this donation program all year round, so stop in as often as you can.

Saturday, September 7^th
United Way of Crawford County is excited to announce the 1^st Annual Designer Bag BINGO event. Join us at the Crestline Banquet Hall (400 Scott St.) beginning at 6:00 PM for a night of BINGO, where you and your friends can win designer purses, door prizes, excellent raffle prizes, 50/50 drawings, wine and more! Lots of free food and soft drinks with the purchase of you ticket. Adult beverages are available by donation. You may reserve a table of 8 people for an extra $5.00 per person and your table will receive a bottle of wine to enjoy that evening. Tickets are $30.00 per person and you receive 20 play cards and a door prize ticket. Extra cards may be purchased for $5 each.
