Press release
United Bank hosted the Annual Academic Awards Breakfast at the Bucyrus Community Hospital on May 12, 2016. Each year the breakfast is held to honor seniors from each of the county high schools. They are chosen by their administration according to their academic records, extracurricular activities, and their overall achievements.
Featured guest speaker, Tyler Jacobs, Executive Director Trainee at the Bucyrus Area Chamber of Commerce, encouraged the scholarship winners to be the “Architects of Tomorrow.” Tyler also left the students with “Ten Things to Remember at Your High School Graduation.”

United Bank President Don Stone, asked the scholarship winners to consider Crawford County as a place to reside after college. He reminded the students to be grateful to those that helped raise them: parents, teachers, and community members. He inspired the students to be involved. “You have a lot of talent to offer, and I would encourage you to give back to your community to make your hometown a better place to live.”
United Bank gave each recipient an Amazon Prime membership and gift card.
Congratulations to our 2016 Crawford County Scholarship Winners!
