Bucyrus – United Bank is announcing the addition of two new bankers and a recent promotion.
United Bank welcomes Brian J. McConnell as its new Raymond James Investment Advisor. McConnell brings more than 17 years of previous banking experience at several institutions across Ohio. He is actively involved in the local community and was named one of the Richland County Development Group’s 10 under 40. McConnell earned a bachelor’s degree from Ashland University. He is a resident of Crestline.
Travis M. Smith joins United as a Banking Center Manager in the Crestline office. He will be responsible for overseeing Crestline’s retail management team, completing all retail lending functions for consumer, mortgage and
HELOC, assisting in retaining and building Crestline’s customer base, implementing regulatory and/or operational changes within the branch, and developing new business and relationships through various channels.
He brings 11 years of experience in retail banking and personal and business loans. Smith is a resident of Bucyrus. He recently joined Kiwanis and is a graduate of Colonel Crawford High School.
Shawna Whited has been promoted from Lead Teller to Branch Operations Manager at the Crestline office. Whited joined United Bank in 2011. She is a graduate of Galion High School
and attended Ohio Northern University. Whited is getting involved with Junior Achievement and will be teaching courses to area 4th grade classrooms. She lives with her family on the outskirts of Crestline.
