Barbara Boothe had a change of heart on Friday morning in Judge Sean Leuthold’s Crawford County Common Pleas courtroom.

Boothe pleaded guilty to a felony 5 possession of drugs charge. Boothe was prison eligible due to another drug charge 12 years ago, and her attorney, Adam Stone, argued that length of time between occurrences should be considered a factor in sentencing. Leuthold disagreed and sentenced Boothe to six months in prison with a six month driver’s license suspension and a $1,250 fine.

Khristin Sharp, who has been in front of Leuthold before, was charged with two counts of probation violation. Sharp allegedly violated the terms of her probation when a urinalysis conducted on Aug. 22 was found to be positive for TCH and benzodiazepine, according to county probation officer Eric Bohach.
Leuthold remembered Sharp’s previous court appearances, and stated that he was “desperately trying to help” her. Leuthold then sentenced Sharp to eighteen months in prison on each count.

Sharp had been granted judicial release in July after serving seven months on two consecutive 18-month prison sentences.
