An accident on US 30 left traffic backed up in Jefferson Township Wednesday night.

According to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a call at 9:24 p.m. of a two-vehicle injury crash on US 30 eastbound just west of Ohio 598. Deputies found that 34-year-old Jeremy May, of Galion, turned westbound from Ohio 598 onto US 30’s eastbound exit ramp. He traveled westbound down the exit ramp onto the eastbound lane of US 30, colliding with a 2017 Cadillac XT5 Crossover being driven by 59-year-old Darrell Mabry, of Ontario. Fifty-six-year-old Debra Mabry, also of Ontario, was a passenger in the vehicle.

Volunteer firefighters from Jefferson Township extricated May from his vehicle. He was transported to OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital by Life Support Ambulance Service and later taken to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center in Columbus. His condition is unknown.

Darrell and Debra Mabry received treatment for minor injuries at the scene.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol assisted the Sheriff’s Office at the scene. Ronk’s Towing of Crestline removed the vehicles from the scene.
