The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office investigated a two-vehicle injury crash on Ohio 602 north of Crestline Road late Monday morning.
The Sheriff’s Office indicated that just before noon 51-year-old Vanessa Schifer of Bucyrus was traveling south on 602 when she began turning into the Colonel Crawford High School parking lot, directly in the path of 63-year-old Donald Strausbaugh’s vehicle. Strausbaugh, of New Washington, had been traveling north on 602 at the time.
As a result of the collision both vehicles went partially of the roadway and came to rest facing east. Both Schifer and Strausbaugh were transported to Bucyrus Community Hospital by LifeSupport.
The Whetstone Township Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the scene.
