BUCYRUS—Two defendants entered guilty pleas and were sentenced to prison on Thursday in Crawford County Common Pleas Court.
Leslie Kroninger, 39, of Galion, pleaded guilty to violating the terms and conditions of his community control. Kroninger was placed on community control after he pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property, a felony of the fourth degree punishable with up to 18 months in prison.
According to probation officer Jeremy Clay, Kroninger stopped reporting for scheduled office visits, and a warrant had to be issued for his arrest. Upon his arrest, while at the Crawford County Jail, he tested positive for meth and methamphetamines. He admitted to usage.
In an agreed plea negotiation, Crawford County Common Pleas Court Judge Sean Leuthold sentenced Kroninger to a flat ten months in prison.
Judge Leuthold told Kroninger he would not oppose transitional control if the prison requested it.
In other court news, Amber Foreman pleaded guilty to one count of assault, a felony of the fifth degree punishable with up to 18 months in prison, and one misdemeanor charge of violating a protective order.
In an agreed plea negotiation, Judge Leuthold sentenced Foreman to a flat eight months in prison. He applied her 59 days in jail toward her sentence for the protection order violation. He told Foreman he would not oppose transitional control if the prison requested it.
