CRAWFORD COUNTY—On Monday, at approximately 10:21 AM Crawford County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a two-vehicle, non-injury collision at the intersection of SR 598 and Leesville Road in Jefferson Township.
A 2000 Kenworth Semi driven by forty-three-year-old Joseph Howman from West Salem, Ohio was involved in a collision with a 1997 Kenworth Semi driven by sixty-seven-year-old Darrell Amlotte from Albion, Indiana.
State Route 598 was temporarily closed with assistance from ODOT until the scene could be cleared of vehicles/debris and rendered safe for public transportation.
Jefferson Township Fire Department, Portsmouth Ambulance, and Crawford County EMA responded to the scene. Ronk’s Auto & Truck Towing removed both vehicles and debris from the scene.
Darrell Amlotte was issued a traffic citation for failure to yield.
