Crawford County- On February 24 at 5:10 PM Deputies from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and members of the Whetstone Volunteer Fire Department and Portsmouth Ambulance Service responded to a two-vehicle injury crash on Lincoln Highway West of the intersection of Lincoln Highway and Parcher Road.

Upon Deputies arrival they discovered a black in color 2010 Chrysler Town and Country minivan with severe damage to its front left side. This vehicle is registered to and was driven by eighty-eight-year-old Barbara J. Mankey who resides in Bucyrus, Ohio.

The other vehicle involved in the crash was a gray in color 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis which was driven by forty-year-old Shawn K. Rohrback who resides in Bloomville, Ohio who was removed from his vehicle by the Volunteer Fire Department with the jaws of life.

Both sustained injuries from the crash and initially were transported to the Bucyrus Community Hospital for their injuries. Rohrbach was later transferred to the Ohio State Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio, and Mankey was taken to the Mansfield Med Central Hospital in Mansfield, Ohio.

Alcohol and illegal drug use are not suspected as a factor in the crash which remains under investigation. Bloomfield and Lohr’s Towing removed both vehicles from the crash scene.
