Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Sunday evening and one of them is from Galion.
The Delaware Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is handling the investigation of the accident at the intersection of U.S. 23 and St. Rt. 229. The Patrol report indicates Dennis Blackert of Galion was traveling south on U.S. 23 and failed to stop for a red light. His vehicle was hit on the passenger’s side by a pickup driven by Caleb Breckenridge of Marysville.
Blackert was transported to Marion General Hospital from the scene with non-life threating injuries. A passenger whose identity is being withheld was last reported to be in critical condition at Grant Medical Center. Breckenridge was not injured.
The Patrol indicated alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in the accident. Seat belts were being used by all those in the accident.
