The city of Galion is coming out of the holiday break ready to get some work done. There will be two meetings for city business today.
The Board of Zoning Appeals will meet at 5 p.m. The meeting will be held at 301 Harding Way East, Galion, Ohio 44833, in Council Chambers. The Board will hear an appeal of a decision of the Uptowne Design Review Board concerning a Certificate of Appropriateness for 107 Harding Way East..
The Laws, Ordinances, Zoning, & Permits Committee will hold a special meeting at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. The agenda items to be discussed are:
1. Ordinance 2016-31 regarding amending Section 529 of the Galion Codified Ordinances.
2. Ordinance 2016-32 regarding amending zoning for outdoor dining.
Both ordinances were referred back to committee for further review at the May 24, 2016 council meeting.
Both meetings are open to the public.
