BUCYRUSꟷTwo people were arrested by Bucyrus Police during a traffic stop Wednesday evening on drug-related charges.

At 5:24 p.m., stopped a vehicle in front of the Crawford County Courthouse, 100 block E. Mansfield St. Casey Zornes, 26, and Joseph Phillips, 33, were arrested for possession of drugs and will be appearing in court later.

Zornes was issued a summons for a court appearance and Phillips is being held at the Crawford County Justice Center.

Officers recovered suspected acid or LSD during the incident. Bucyrus Police detectives, along with Lt. Tom Walker, Officer Shane Cramer and Crawford County Sheriff’s Deputy Chris Hulsmeyer and his K9 “Nora”, assisted at the scene.

7:59 a.m.-Officers assisted with a vehicle lockout in the 200 block of East Beal Avenue.

8:05 a.m.-Officers assisted with a vehicle lockout in the 200 block of Wiley Street.

9:44 a.m.-Officers attempted to make a welfare check in the 100 block of Whetstone Street. The Galion Police Department assisted in locating the person in their city.

10:39 a.m.-A report of vandalism in the 200 block of South Poplar Street was received.

11:58 a.m.-A report of a disturbance in the area of Bucyrus Plaza was unfounded.

12:43 p.m.-Officers responded to a report of a person that would not leave a caller’s residence in the 100 block of Heritage Circle. The person was located at another location and it was a domestic separation. The unwelcome individual returned a phone charger and was warned against trespassing.

12:52 p.m.-Officers investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Lutz Drive.

1:20 p.m.-Officers made a welfare check in the 1500 block of Fairview Drive.

2:59 p.m.- A disturbance report of telecommunication harassment was received at the police department.

3:25 p.m.- A hit-skip accident was reported in the 200 block of West Mary Street. The complainant reported a white truck struck their vehicle and drove away from the area of Kroger.

3:58 p.m.- Officers spoke to a person at the police department about property damage allegedly caused by a lawn mowing crew.

4:17 p.m.- A message was delivered in the 1100 block of Reid Street.

4:42 p.m.- Officers responded to a residential lockout in the 600 block of East Rensselaer Street.

5:00 p.m.- A disturbance was investigated in the 500 block of East Charles Street. Officers mediated the neighborhood dispute.

5:26 p.m.-A domestic dispute in the 500 block of Plymouth Street was investigated and the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office was requested to assist. No assaults or threats were reported.

6:48 p.m.-A traffic stop was made and Justin Testement, 30, was arrested in the area of Washington Square on warrants out of Crawford and Richland Counties. He was also issued traffic citations.  He was taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held for court.

7:02 p.m.- Officers checked the area of Jones Street for male carrying a gun and a juvenile complaint in the area of Woodlawn Avenue and Jones Street.

7:08 p.m.- A report of a suspicious vehicle was investigated in the area of Outhwaite Reservoir and the people were fishing.

9:55 p.m.- Officers investigated a domestic dispute in the 500 block of Failor Avenue.

10:13 p.m.- Officers assisted Portsmouth Ambulance Service in the 400 block of West Rensselaer Street with an intoxicated person who required transport.

10:13 p.m.- A traffic citation was issued in the 300 block of South Lane Street. The registration plate will be forwarded to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.

10:20 p.m.-A report of a reported suspicious person was investigated in the area of South Spring and West Center Streets.

10:34 p.m.- A suspicious vehicle was reported at Outhwaite Reservoir. The people moved their vehicles.

10:39 p.m.-Officers assisted a resident experiencing mental issues in the 600 block of East Rensselaer Street.

10:50 p.m.-A domestic disturbance in the 400 block of West Charles Street was investigated and mediated.

11:14 p.m.-Officers checked on a reported suspicious vehicle in the 400 block of Heritage Circle and the person was waiting for a friend.
