An ongoing drug investigation has led to the arrest of two Bucyrus residents.

According to Bucyrus Police Chief Dave Koepke, a man and a woman were arrested at 6:25 p.m. Sunday evening at near Aumiller Park, south of the Sandusky River at the Friendship Bridge area.

“They were hanging out in a car. Officers had been on the lookout for them due to a drug investigation,” Koepke said.

The K-9 officer assisted at the scene and drugs were seized, including opiates and methamphetamines.

The couple was taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held and charges are pending.
