Two people arrested in a Bucyrus drug bust in February are now being held on $1 million bonds.
Twenty-two-year-old Kyle Slone and 19-year-old Dallas Carroll had been taken into custody on Feb. 25 for initial charges of probation violations during a search of their Wingert Street home. A large quantity of prescription medications, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and U.S. currency had been seized.
Adam Stone had been appointed to Slone in Crawford County Municipal Court where a $1 million bond had been set. Sebastian Berger had been appointed as Carroll’s counsel in Common Pleas Court Monday morning.
Common Pleas Court Judge Sean Leuthold continued Slone’s $1 million bond after entering not guilty pleas for felony one engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity and felony two possession of oxycodone which exceed five times the bulk amount. Carroll, who is facing the same charges, also had bond set at $1 million.
Slone and Carroll could receive a maximum of 11 years on the first-degree felony and a maximum of eight years on the second-degree felony.
“I believe a high bond is needed to protect the public,” Leuthold said.
