BUCYRUS — Two individuals were arrested after a traffic stop in the 800 block of Hopley Avenue near Southern Avenue on Tuesday evening.
According to the Bucyrus Police Department Facebook page, a traffic stop was conducted as part of an ongoing investigation by BPD. The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit assisted with the traffic stop.
During the search of the vehicle, officers found multiple suspected narcotics, including methamphetamine, cocaine, THC oils and approximately 1 pound of marijuana.
A search of a residence in the 300 block of Hopley Avenue led to officers finding suspected narcotics including a kilogram (2.2 pound) of methamphetamine, cocaine prescription drugs, THC oils, several pounds of marijuana and other drug-related items.
As a result of both searches, the two individuals were arrested and taken to the Crawford County Justice Center. A representative from BPD said the individuals were not named due to awaiting formal charges to come from the Crawford County Prosecutor’s Office.
A daily report from BPD on Wednesday, July 17 listed 37-year-old John Friend and 25-year-old Wrachel Burkes as two individuals arrested on investigation of drug possession after a traffic stop in the 800 block of Hopley Avenue.
Both are listed as being detained at the Crawford County Justice Center.
