Judge Russell Wiseman’s time on the bench of Common Pleas Court is winding down. Unfortunately the caseload for that office is not.
Twenty people were arraigned Tuesday on various felony charges ranging from receiving stolen property to burglary and first-degree felony drug possession. Fourteen of those people are charged with drug-related offenses. Two pleaded guilty and were sentenced. (See related story).
Kevin James was indicted by the Crawford County Grand Jury with two counts of first-degree felony drug possession. Wiseman kept the $1 million bond in place set previously by Municipal Court Judge Sean Leuthold. James is represented by Adam Stone.
Bryan Taylor was arraigned on charges of third-degree felony drug trafficking and second-degree felony engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity. Wiseman set Taylor’s bond at $250,000 and appointed Rolf Whitney as his legal counsel.
Those arraigned Tuesday, along with the charges against them and their bonds, are: Tyler Fulton, F5 drug possession (pleaded guilty and sentenced); Mary Rathers, F5 drug possession ( $100,000 bond); Michael Fletcher, F4 deception to obtain a dangerous drug ($100,000 bond); Jared Slagle, F4 drug possession ( $100,000 bond); Brigett Carnes, F5 drug possession, ($50,000 bond); Andrea Sheppard, F5 drug possession and F4 drug trafficking, ($100,000 bond); Kevin James, two counts of F1 drug possession ($1 million bond); Adam Chapman, F5 drug possession, ($50,000, subsequently pleaded guilty and was sentenced); Tamara Roberson, F4 theft, (personal recognizance bond); Raymond Horner, F5 drug possession, (personal recognizance bond); Jesse Rittenberry, F5 drug possession (personal recognizance bond); John Wanamaker, F5 drug possession, (personal recognizance bond); Andrew Shipman, F5 unlawful possession of a dangerous ordinance, (personal recognizance bond); Bradley Sipe, F2 burglary, ($100,000 bond); Kara Burns, F5 drug possession, ($100,000); Brian Taylor, F3 drug trafficking and F2 engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, ($250,000); Jason Kitts, F5 receiving stolen property, ($25,000); Steven McMillen, F5 drug possession, ($50,000); Taylor James, F5 theft, ($50,000); Matthew Claus, F5 forgery, (personal recognizance bond).
