BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Energy filled the classrooms at North Central State College’s Crawford Success Center on Friday, January 9, as high school juniors and seniors began classes for the Spring 2026 TurboCert cohorts.
The TurboCert program, offered through a partnership between the North Central State College’s Crawford Success Center and the Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center (MOESC), allows students to earn industry-recognized credentials while still in high school, giving them early exposure to college-level coursework and career pathways.
This spring, students are training in one of four high-demand fields: 5G Readiness, Phlebotomy, Robotics in Advanced Manufacturing, and Drone Operations & Safety. The program emphasizes hands-on learning and practical skills designed to align with current workforce needs.
Classes are held Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., providing students dedicated time to focus on career exploration in a college setting while continuing their regular high school schedules during the week.
Program leaders say interest in TurboCert continues to grow as more students look for opportunities to gain experience, build confidence, and prepare for life after graduation.
