BUCYRUS—Tuesday is Election Day but not for all Crawford County registered voters.
Voters living in the Wynford School District, Polk Township and Bucyrus City Ward 1 will be voting on Tuesday and 122 have already voted early at the Crawford County Board of Elections office or requested a mail-in ballot.
“Early voting ends today (Monday) at 2 p.m.,” said Ruth Leuthold, director of the Crawford County Board of Elections.
Leuthold said that Wynford District voters who live in the city limits of Bucyrus will vote at the Crawford County Fairgrounds tomorrow as usual.
“Polk Township voters will cast ballots at Galion High School,” said Leuthold.
The Ward 1 race in Bucyrus is between two Republican candidates, Brenton Potter and Tracey Price. The winner of the primary election will be on the ballot in November. The position is currently held by long-time city council member Bruce Truka who has chosen not to run for re-election.
Wynford voters must decide whether to approve two renewal tax levies with no new taxes being introduced. The levies are for operating expenses at 6.9 mills and 1.66 mills.
The 5.4 mill levy for Polk Township is also a renewal levy for the purpose of emergency services in the township.
