Polls open on Tuesday at 6:30 a.m. and will stay open until 7:30 p.m. for Crawford County voters to cast their ballots.
Ruth Leuthold, director of the Crawford County Board of Elections, is predicting that 47 percent of all registered voters in the county will turn out for the election.
“That is the same percentage of voters that participated in the 2015 election,” said Leuthold.
Since 2017 is an odd year, several city, school board and township positions are up for re-election.
The precincts for voters living in the city limits of Bucyrus are located in the Youth Building at the Crawford County Fairgrounds while voters in Galion will head to Galion High School.
For those that want to grab some lunch while out voting, there will be an Election Day Luncheon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Bucyrus United Methodist Church Outreach Center, 216 Hopley Ave., Bucyrus.
The menu includes all homemade items: chicken and sloppy joe sandwiches, bean and ham and beef and vegetable soups, corn muffins, Jell-O salads, pies, cakes and assorted beverages. Cost is by suggested prices or donations.
Dine in, carry out or have your meal delivered by calling 419-562-5061 anytime up to 1:30 p.m. the day of the luncheon. The Outreach Center is handicapped accessible.
The luncheon is sponsored by the church’s United Methodist Women. Proceeds benefit local, national and worldwide missions.
