Bucyrus Police responded to a report of a vehicle driving on private property near East End Way and North Highland Avenue shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday evening.
Randy Bowman, 31, the driver of the truck, had driven into the Sandusky River. The truck became stuck in the river and Bowman, along with his passenger, Jessica Banks, 32, ignored the commands of officers and fled on foot. A chase ensued as the pair headed north near Bucyrus Mobile Home Park where they were apprehended.
Bowman was arrested for criminal trespass and obstructing official business. He was also cited for driving under suspension.
Banks, was arrested for obstructing official business and criminal trespass.
Bowman’s truck had to be towed from the river.
