Believe it or not it’s time to purchase an Ohio fishing license for 2015. Licenses for this year are effective March 1, 2015 through Feb. 29, 2016.
That’s not the only fishing news however. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources has announced the schedule for its annual release of rainbow trout at selected sites across the state. That release begins next Friday – March 6 – at Adams Lake in Adams County.
Rainbow trout will be released Crawford County on April 8 at the Crossroads Industrial Pond in Bucyrus. Other releases of trout in this area include Mt. Gilead Lake in Morrow County on March 27, Quarry Park in Marion County on March 27, Shelby Reservoir 3 in Richland County on April 16, and Lamberjack Lake in Seneca County on April 22.
