NEWS RELEASE:

MARION — The Marion Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a serious injury crash that occurred on SR 95 at SR 203 at approximately 12:13 pm. A 2012 Chevrolet Traverse was traveling northbound on SR 203. A 2017 Kia Optima was westbound on SR 95.

A preliminary investigation indicates that the Chevrolet was attempting to cross SR 95 and failed to yield to the westbound Kia. The Chevrolet was struck by the Kia in the intersection, and both vehicles traveled off the northwest side of the intersection and came to final rest in a field.

The Chevrolet was operated by Tori Bailey, age 25, of Dayton Ohio. Occupants in the vehicle were Sophia Bailey, age 5, of Dayton, and Railynn Bailey, age 4, of Dayton. All occupants were taken to Marion General Hospital by Marion Township Fire EMS.

The Kia was operated by Randall Kinsler, age 65, of New Bloomington Ohio. Kinsler was taken to the Ohio State University Medical Center by MedFlight.

This crash is currently under investigation.

Troopers were assisted on scene by the Marion Township Fire Department, New Vision Fire Department, Medcare EMS, First Advance EMS, MedFlight, Ron’s Towing, and Precision Towing.
