BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Ohio State Highway Patrol is pleased to announce that Trooper Ryan J. Noblet has been selected as the 2024 Bucyrus Post Trooper of the Year.
Trooper Noblet, 33, has been recognized for his outstanding service at the Bucyrus Highway Patrol Post. Fellow officers and dispatchers stationed at the Bucyrus Post chose Trooper Noblet for the award based on his leadership abilities, professional ethics, job knowledge, performance, and exemplary service to the public. This is Trooper Noblet’s first time being awarded Trooper of the Year.
Originally from the Bucyrus area, Trooper Noblet currently resides in Crawford County with his wife, Jennifer, and daughter, Lilly. After graduating from Colonel Crawford High School, he attended Bowling Green State University, where he majored in education. Before joining the Patrol, he worked as a teacher’s aide at Colonel Crawford High School for one year and taught high school history at Clear Fork High School for another year.
Trooper Noblet graduated from the Ohio State Highway Patrol Academy in September 2016 as a member of the 160th Academy Class and was initially assigned to the Mansfield Post. In 2017, he transferred to the Bucyrus Post. Throughout his career, Trooper Noblet has been awarded the Health and Physical Fitness Ribbon with Star attachment for scoring in the highest level of physical testing. He has also received the 5-Year Safe Driving Award and multiple commendation letters. Since 2017, he has served as a member of the patrol’s Mobile Field Force and has assisted the OSHP Academy training staff with self-defense training for cadets over the past two years. Additionally, he has served as a Field Training Officer, helping to train new troopers who recently graduated from the Academy.
Beyond his professional achievements, Trooper Noblet is actively involved in the community. He coaches junior high football and track & field at his alma mater, Colonel Crawford High School, and coaches football at Clear Fork High School. He also participates in speech details at local schools, encouraging kids to stay away from drugs and alcohol.
