MANSFIELD, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Ohio State Highway Patrol Mansfield Post has honored one of their own with the prestigious Post Trooper of the Year Award. This accolade is given annually to a trooper at each post in recognition of their outstanding service throughout the year. For 2024, Trooper Christian Reed has been selected for this distinguished award.

Reed, a 2017 graduate of Clear Fork High School, earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Criminal Justice from North Central State College in 2020. He began his career in law enforcement as a Richland County Sheriff Deputy before joining the Ohio State Highway Patrol in 2021. Reed also served in the Army Reserve from 2018 through 2024.

After completing his training at the patrol’s academy, Reed was initially stationed at the Marion Post before transferring to the Mansfield Post in 2023. Despite his relatively short tenure as a State Trooper, he has already earned the Criminal Patrol Award three times and the Physical Health and Fitness Award.

“Christian has shown an unwavering commitment and dedication to serving our community and is very deserving of the award,” said a spokesperson for the Mansfield Post.

Reed’s exemplary service and dedication to his duties have made him a standout member of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, and this award recognizes his significant contributions to the safety and well-being of the community.
