Rock hounds have just two weeks remaining to seek and enjoy the display of trilobites on display at the Lowe-Volk Park Nature Center.

The display features trilobites from the collections of Ohio History Connection and retired Bucyrus City School District teacher Tom Kottyan. Within the display are some very neat specimens, including the State Fossil, “Isotelus”.

The trilobites went on display Jan. 17 during the Crawford Park District’s annual Rock-n-Fossil Day.

Lowe-Volk Park is located on Ohio 598 on the south edge of Leesville, approximately three miles north of U.S. 30. More information about Park District facilities and programs is available online at www.crawfordparkdistrict.org.
