Jacob Laurence will get his proverbial day in court today and it might turn out to be as many as three days in Crawford County Common Pleas Court.

The 24-year-old Laurence is charged with first-degree aggravated robbery for an incident last November at the CVS Pharmacy in Bucyrus. Laurence is accused of taking a can of Red Bull energy drink from the store without paying for it.

In an altercation with Laurence, Bucyrus Police Chief Dave Koepke was injured. Koepke suffered a concussion and received stitches.

Hearing the case is visiting Judge Dale Crawford. Laurence, who is from Fort Wayne, will be represented by Bucyrus attorney Adam Stone.

Laurence has been in the Crawford County jail since the incident. His bond was set at $1.5 million by Municipal Court Judge Sean Leuthold.
