BUCYRUS — Fallen trees caused a medical emergency in rural Bucyrus on Tuesday morning.
According to Crawford County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Jeremy McCracken, a man was walking on Kiess Road south of Ohio 98 when a tree fell across the road after 9 a.m.
The man approached the scene when a second smaller tree fell and struck the man in the head.

McCracken said the man was conscious when he was transported by Portsmouth Emergency Ambulance Services.

The scene was cleared at approximately 9:45 a.m.
The Liberty Township Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene and cleared the road of debris.
