CLEVELAND―Cleveland’s beloved cover band, the Trailer Park Ninjas, is facing a challenging situation as they attempt to recover stolen equipment and merchandise following the theft of their van. The band, known for their performances all over Ohio, including the Crawford County area, fell victim to the incident on July 27th around 2:35 am. Surveillance footage captured the heart-wrenching moment when their van was pushed from an apartment parking lot on Detroit Ave. in Cleveland.
While the van itself has been found, it was discovered stripped down, and the valuable equipment, including lights, video gear, band instruments, and merchandise, worth over $40,000 remains missing. The local authorities are actively investigating the case, and the band has turned to social media to spread the word and seek public support.
Surveillance video indicates that a black SUV was involved in pushing the 2017 Chevy Express Van out of the parking lot, which was later hot-wired and emptied of its contents. Bob Huffman, a member of the Trailer Park Ninjas, expressed the band’s urgent need to retrieve their equipment and merchandise, as they are currently facing an indefinite shutdown. Several scheduled gigs, including ones in Michigan and at Put-In-Bay this weekend, had to be canceled due to the unfortunate incident.
In their determination to recover what was lost, the Trailer Park Ninjas are offering a reward for the return of their equipment, no questions asked.
