BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—On Saturday at approximately 4:30 p.m., a routine traffic stop initiated by Officer Conner near the intersection of Marion Road and West Kilbourne Drive resulted in the arrest of a 40-year-old Marion man for multiple drug-related offenses.

During the engagement with the vehicle’s occupants, Officer Conner detected signs of potential illicit activity and promptly requested the assistance of K-9 Capone.

The trained narcotics dog conducted a free air sniff of the vehicle, subsequently indicating a positive alert for the presence of narcotics.

The passenger of the vehicle, identified as Michael D. Fisher, was found in possession of a used crack cocaine pipe along with five Alprazolam pills.

Fisher acknowledged that he did not possess a valid prescription for the medication. Following the discovery, he was arrested and transported to the Crawford County Justice Center in preparation for court proceedings.

However, upon arrival at the detention facility, authorities discovered that Fisher had concealed two bags containing suspected heroin and crack cocaine on his person.

Fisher is now facing multiple charges, including Possession of Schedule I or II drugs (Felony 5), Illegal Conveyance into a Detention Facility (Felony 3), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Misdemeanor 4).

The investigation continues.
