BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Late on February 17, 2025, at approximately 11:00 PM, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for operating without its headlights in the 1500 block of East Mansfield Street. Upon approaching the vehicle, officers established reasonable suspicion of potential criminal activity.
K9 Capone was deployed during the stop and indicated the presence of narcotics. A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered approximately 6.4 grams of suspected methamphetamine, prescription pills (Gabapentin), a digital scale, bags typically used for drug sales, and various items of drug paraphernalia.

Dawn Shultz, 42, of Mansfield, Ohio, was arrested and transported to the Crawford County Justice Center, where she is being held pending court proceedings. The charges against her include:
- Drug Trafficking (F-4)
- Possession of Drugs in Bulk Amount (F-3)
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (M-4)
This traffic stop is part of ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to combat illegal drug sales and use in Bucyrus. The street value of the narcotics seized is estimated at $550.
