A storm that tore through Crawford County and caused substantial damage in the Galion area has been confirmed as a tornado.
A representative of the National Weather Service office in Cleveland said the tornado was categorized as a max intensity EF1. EF1 tornadoes have wind speed of 86-110 miles per hour.
Local crews worked throughout the night to clear roads for traffic as trees and other objects fell and blocked streets. Galion City Schools were put on a two-hour delay Nov. 6 to ensure the roads were clear.
