There may be rain in the forecast, but that might make for the perfect conditions at the annual Tiro-Auburn Firefighters’ Festival mud volleyball games.
Set for this Friday and Saturday, the festival will feature its usual draws: food, music, and mud volleyball.
The Ladies Auxiliary of the fire department will have the food all set to go inside the fire station. Food will be served beginning at noon on each day. The menu includes pork roast sandwiches on Friday, beef roast sandwiches on Saturday, and hot dogs, noodle soup, cole slaw, baked beans, sweet corn, pie, and cake to go along with the sandwiches. Rader’s Ice Cream will also be on hand.
The mud volleyball tournament will kick off at 5 p.m. Friday and will continue on Saturday at noon. DJ Ryan Strohm will be playing music at the volleyball pits on both days.
Entertainment at this year’s festival beer garden includes Mike Risner on Friday night and Luke and Kate Rietschlin on Saturday night.
There will also be kids’ games and activities, including a bounce house and miniature golf.
The festival serves as the primary fundraiser for the Tiro-Auburn Volunteer Fire Department. Money raised during the two-day event will go toward every day expenses.
