Christmas is a time for family and loved ones to get together and share their happiness with each other, as they remember the birth of Baby Jesus. In the tradition of the gift-giving wisemen, many people receive gifts from Santa and their loved ones.
One little girl was happy to be out of school for a couple weeks to enjoy the Christmas break evening with her mom and dad, brother and sister spending gift cards at Chuckie Cheese. Camryn Powers, a first grader at Hannah Crawford Elementary School, said, “I went to a Christmas Party at my Grandma’s and I got like mostly everything I got on my list.”
Powers got a telescope, My Little Pony Dolls and an iPad.
One teacher at Colonel Crawford spent time with their family building a barn while others went shopping. Most agreed that just being home for the holidays was the best gift of all: no homework to grade.
