The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office reports it booked in three new inmates Wednesday and all three reside outside of Crawford County.

Shawn Smith of McArthur was arrested by sheriff’s deputies and charged with drug trafficking, failure to pay fines and three counts of non-support.

Samuel Vanderkooi of Morrow County was arrested by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and charged with driving under suspension.

Michael Chew of Shelby was arrested by sheriff’s deputies for failure to appear at a review hearing regarding a charge of OVI.

All three men are being held at the county jail pending their appearance in either Municipal or Common Pleas Court.
