BUCYRUS — Emergency crews responded to a multi-vehicle crash on Ohio 4 near Ohio 294 on Monday morning that sent three to the hospital.

According to a report from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, just before 10:30 a.m., the preliminary investigation indicated 41-year-old Wesley Bloomfield of Marion was traveling northbound on Ohio 4 when he traveled left of center causing a crash involving the southbound vehicles being driven by 48-year-old Chris Lawson of Galion and 50-year-old Kristi Recktenwalt of Massilon.

Bloomfield was transported by medical helicopter to the Ohio State Medical Center in Columbus. Lawson and Recktenwalt were transported to Bucyrus Community Hospital for treatment.

Portsmouth Emergency Ambulance Service and Bucyrus and Dallas townships volunteer fire departments also assisted at the scene.
