St. John’s United Church of Christ the Running for Hope-Run for a Cure 5K Race will take place on Saturday June 17 at Wynford High School.
The Running for hope is a 5 K charity race will be benefiting the Relay for Life of Crawford County. Benefits from this race will go towards providing cancer education, awareness, prevention and advocacy. If you can’t run the race, come out and cheer the runners on! Representatives from the American Cancer Society will be onsite to provide information about programs, prevention and advocacy.
Cost is $15 per person before June 4, 2017 and $20 on the day of the race. The pre-paid fee includes a complimentary t-shirt (extra t-shirts won’t be available at the race.) Refreshments will be available after the race. Registration for the race begins at 8 a.m. on Saturday June 17, with the run walk beginning at 9:15 a.m. at Wynford High School, 3288 Holmes Center Road, Bucyrus.
Awards will be presented to the top male and female participants in each age category. The awards will be presented at the Relay for Life Main Stage Area after the last participant has completed the race. Age categories are: 12-14 years, 15-19 years, 20-29 years, 40-49 years, 50-59 years, and 60 & wiser. There will also be door prizes.
