CRESTLINE – The Galion-Crestline Area Chamber of Commerce is saying “I do” to its first annual Bridal Expo.

The 2021 Bridal Expo is scheduled for Sat., May 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Hub at Village Square in Crestline.  The new event center is at the site of the former Rite-Aid at 311 N. Seltzer St.

“Now that Crestline has this awesome venue, we just want to make sure we’re showcasing it as a wedding and event center,” said Miranda Jones, executive director of the Chamber. “We want Crawford County residents to know it’s an option.”

So far, about 14 area vendors will be participating in the Bridal Expo, Jones said, but the Chamber’s goal is to attract 20 vendors in all.  Photographers, D.J.’s, a violinist, and make-up specialists are just some of the vendors who will be on hand, she said.

Light snacks and beverages will be available, with the set-up inside adhering to COVID 19 restrictions and CDC guidelines, Jones said.  The Bridal Expo is now free and open to the public, especially brides-to-be, their families, and friends, she said.

The Hub at Village Square, which opened in April, is owned by Vanessa Bell and Alyssa Huss.  The spacious facility has a liquor license; Jones said, as well as garage doors which allow for both indoor and outdoor seating, depending on the weather.

The Bridal Expo wouldn’t be possible, she said, without the generous support of its sponsors:  First Federal Community Bank, Rock Solid Media, Country Legends WBCO 1540 AM/107.5 FM, Iconic rock WQEL 92.7 FM, and Crawford County Now.

Next year, Jones said, plans are to host the Bridal Expo in the more traditional months of January or February.  “We’re just excited to add it as an annual event for the Chamber and to eventually see growth and success for the new Hub at Village Square.”
