Opening act for entertainer-comedian Jay Leno, The Mirage, Las Vegas since 2007 and frequent featured entertainers in Branson, Missouri, America’s Premier Doo-Wop Group, The Alley Cats will be performing 7 PM Tuesday, April 14 at the Bucyrus Elementary School Auditorium at 245 Woodlawn Ave. in Bucyrus. The Alley Cats are a perfect blend of musical talent and comic timing. The Alley Cats never miss a beat as they bring their own contemporary style to the great songs of the 50’s and 60’s. Their combined talent and audience interaction add freshness and excitement to every show.

Formed during a 50’s and 60’s Doo-Wop revival while studying music at Fullerton College. Two men, also the group’s future founding fathers, Mando Fonseca and Royce “The Voice” Reynolds, decided to start an a cappella group. Two additional members along the way, Todd Dixon and Andre Peek, materialized and the foursome quickly gained notice.

The Alley Cats began their musical journey in 1987 as the featured act in Disneyland’s “Blast to the Past” salute to the 50’s & 60’s. Their long standing relationship with Disney also took them, to New York City, where they were featured during the world premiere of Disney’s animated film, Hercules. Their accomplishments include numerous TV shows, radio jingles and thousands of live stage performances including stage performances with notable artists: Chubby Checker, The Beach Boys and comedian Jerry Seinfeld as well as appearances at the White House and even a USO show aboard the John C. Stennis aircraft carrier welcoming home the troops from Iraq.

The Alley Cats have performed multiple times on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. The Alley Cats have won two Contemporary A Cappella Society awards: one for the best album (The Doo-Wop Drive-In Live) and one for the best song (“What’s Your Name”)

Great seats are still available for this show. At this concert the exciting 2015-2016 Concert Association line up will be announced and concert goers will have their first opportunity to renew or begin a Concert Association membership.
