MANSFIELD, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Richland County Fairgrounds transformed into a life-sized game board Thursday as the Richland Area Chamber & Economic Development hosted its 19th Annual Business Expo.
The event, themed “Expo-Opoly” after the classic board game Monopoly, featured over 100 local businesses and nonprofit organizations. Exhibitors embraced the theme with mustachioed cosplayers, giant dice, and novelty game-piece decorations, creating a high-energy atmosphere for the hundreds of residents who attended the six-hour event.
The day kicked off at 9:45 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring local officials. Throughout the afternoon, attendees took part in interactive games, collected samples, and entered various prize drawings. The expo also included a community component, hosting a donation drive to support a local food bank. Presented by Hamilton Insurance Group, the event highlighted a diversifying regional economy. Beyond the “board game” fun, the expo featured exhibits ranging from local racing at the Mansfield Speedway to healthcare services and home improvement experts.
