The topic of this month’s Tellin’ Tales at the Lowe-Volk Nature Center will be Crawford County American Indian Trails (1819). This program is offered by the Crawford Park District and is organized to share information about local history. Special guest Kenzel Clutter, who has researched and developed a map of Crawford County Indian Trails by using 1819 surveyor notes and his knowledge of the area’s geology, history, and human behavior will speak at the event at 2 p.m. on Oct. 7 at the Lowe-Volk Nature Center, 2401 St. Rt. 598, Crestline.
Bring your stories, research, and/or questions to share. Some of the best new information on trails comes from people who still live on the farm that has generations of oral history passed down.
Lowe-Volk Park is located 3 miles north of US Route 30. For more information, contact the Crawford Park District office at 419-683-9000.
